General Information: Communication with Chambers
Informal
inquiries to the Court should be in writing and copied to
opposing counsel. Judge
Murphy will accept facsimile correspondence, and he is willing
to schedule telephone conferences with all counsel to address
urgent issues when the need arises.
The requesting party is responsible for initiating the
conference call with all parties and calling chambers when all
parties are on the line (618/482-9173).
All
scheduling matters should be directed to the courtroom deputy
clerk, Linda McGovern (618/482-9309). A law clerk is assigned to each case. Counsel may contact Chambers (618/482-9173) to learn
which law clerk is assigned to a particular case.
