Judge Reagan
graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois in 1976.
He was a police officer in Belleville, Illinois until the fall
of 1977, when he began law school at St. Louis University. Upon
graduation from law school in 1980, he joined the law firm of
Kassly, Bone, and Becker, PC. In 1995, he began the Law Office
of Michael J. Reagan, where he engaged in a general law practice
with emphasis on civil and criminal litigation. Judge Reagan was
a frequent lecturer at legal symposia. He has authored legal
related papers and book chapters and is a former Adjunct
Assistant Professor of Law at St. Louis University.
In 1990, The
National Board of Trial Advocacy certified him as a Civil Trial
Specialist.
In 1995, the
Illinois Supreme Court appointed Judge Reagan Commissioner for
the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission where he,
along with six others, administered the attorney registration
and disciplinary system for the states 70,000+ lawyers.
Judge Reagan was
President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association from 1999 to
2000.
Judge Reagan was nominated by the
President on May 11, 2000 and voted out of the Senate
Judiciary Committee on July 27, 2000. The full Senate confirmed
Judge Reagan on October 3, 2000. He took the oath of office of
United States District Judge on October 23, 2000.

Carole Althardt received her J. D. degree from St. Louis University School of Law in 1994.
She has a B. A. and an M. A. in history from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. Before attending law school she taught in junior high and elementary schools, and at Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois.
She worked as a career law clerk in the Southern District of Illinois from January, 1995, to June, 2005. After working as a pro se law clerk in the Eastern District of Missouri from June, 2005, to September, 2006, she returned to a career position in the Southern District of Illinois.

the United States Senate from 1982 to 1984, and graduated from
Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1987. From 1987 to
1994, Sheila practiced law at Bryan Cave, LLC in St. Louis,
Missouri. After working briefly in the legal department of
Anheuser Busch Companies, Sheila became a Career Law Clerk in
the Southern District of Illinois.
