Judge Stephen P. McGlynn
East St. Louis, IL
Judge McGlynn was appointed United States District Judge for the Southern District of Illinois September 16, 2020. He received a B.A. from the University of Dayton and Juris Doctorate
from Saint Louis University School of Law. McGlynn was in private practice and also served as a Special Assistant Attorney General of Illinois.
He served as a Justice of the Illinois Fifth District Appellate Court then as a Circuit Judge for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit after being appointed by the Supreme Court of Illinois.
McGlynn was commissioned as a United States District Judge upon the nomination of President Donald Trump and confirmation of the United States Senate.
