The United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois is pleased to announce the implementation of the Multi-Court Voice Case Information System (McVCIS). McVCIS provides callers with free, 24-hour access to limited real-time case information through a touch-tone telephone.
Individuals seeking case information for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois may call (618) 482-9371 (East St. Louis) or (618) 439-7760 (Benton) and press Option 2.
Additional information regarding McVCIS is available on the Court’s website at https://www.ilsd.uscourts.gov under the “Case Information” tab on the “Clerk’s Office” page. This page includes instructions for using McVCIS, as well as access to the McVCIS User Guide, which provides detailed guidance on system navigation and case search functions.
Users may search for case information using the following criteria:
- Defendant (both individual and corporation)
- Plaintiff (both individual and corporation)
- Case number
McVCIS provides information in both English and Spanish for:
- Civil cases, including miscellaneous cases and multidistrict litigation matters; and
- Criminal cases, including magistrate judge and petty offense cases
